Goddess Padmavati paraded on serpent-shaped carrier during Brahmotsavam celebrations
On the second day of the Karthika Brahmotsavams, Goddess Padmavati was paraded on the 'Pedda Sesha Vahanam', a carrier shaped like a seven-hooded serpent. The deity was adorned in the attire of 'Maha Vishnu'. The procession featured twelve cultural troupes with 272 performers showcasing various dance forms, despite heavy rain. Notable performances included a mythological episode by students from Sri Venkateswara College of Music and Dance. Additionally, women employees presented a silk saree to the goddess, continuing a longstanding tradition. The Executive Officer also released several devotional books during the event. In the evening, the goddess was dressed as Saraswati and paraded on 'Hamsa Vahanam'.
