Gmail users must switch to IMAP for external accounts

Google has disabled Gmailify and POP3, impacting users who manage external email accounts through Gmail. Users must switch to the IMAP protocol to continue receiving emails from third-party providers like GMX, Yahoo, or Outlook within Gmail. This change removes advanced features like spam protection and categorization for these external accounts. While direct synchronization of folders and changes is no longer supported, emails can still be sent and received. Alternatively, users can set up automatic forwarding from their external accounts to Gmail.
