Gmail plans to introduce temporary email addresses with new Shield Email feature

Gmail may soon introduce a feature called "Shield Email," which would provide users with temporary email addresses. This would allow users to share a temporary address instead of their actual email, helping to manage spam. Emails sent to the temporary address would be forwarded to the user's regular inbox. Users could delete the temporary address at any time to stop receiving emails, similar to existing temporary email services. Currently, "Shield Email" is only referenced in the Gmail Android app and has not been officially announced by Google. Its future remains uncertain as it is still in the conceptual stage.
