Giuseppe Viner exhibition at Palazzo Mediceo closes September 20 with guided tour

The exhibition "Giuseppe Viner (1875-1925). L'eredità di due secoli" at Palazzo Mediceo in Seravezza will close on September 20, with a guided tour available on September 11. The show marks the 150th anniversary of the artist's birth and 100th of his death. Viner's paintings depict the Apuan Alps, quarries, stonecutters, and historic Versilia locations, linking man and landscape. The town of Seravezza has ties to Viner since 1922, when it hosted his solo show and purchased his work "Agri marmiferi di Ceragiola." The guided tour with curator Francesco Bosetti on September 11 at 7 p.m. is included in the 10-euro ticket. Reservations are required via WhatsApp or email. Viner also served as monuments inspector and superintendent for art export in Versilia.
