A pair of 3-year-old giant pandas, Bao Li and Qing Bao, have arrived at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C. They were flown from China on a special FedEx flight, landing at Dulles International Airport on Tuesday morning. Bao Li is the son of Bao Bao, who was born at the zoo in 2013. The pandas will spend 30 days in quarantine before their public debut in January 2025. This arrival marks a return of giant pandas to the National Zoo after the last three pandas left for China last fall. The new pandas are part of a 10-year breeding and research agreement between China and the U.S.
