Ghaziabad cyber cops bust vehicle insurance scam

Two men were arrested in Ghaziabad on Sunday for running a vehicle insurance scam that defrauded over 25,000 people, resulting in losses exceeding Rs 50 crore. The accused fabricated insurance policies, often misrepresenting commercial vehicles as two-wheelers to collect premiums. They targeted vehicle owners nationwide, with 128 victims identified in Ghaziabad alone. Police are investigating the involvement of a woman in Delhi and a mastermind named Rohit Kumar, while contacting various insurance companies whose policies were forged.
