Six University of Ghana learning centres are operating without accreditation, the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) has announced. GTEC stated that academic qualifications from these unaccredited centres are not recognized for employment, further education, or promotion. Eleven other institutions were directed to suspend fresh admissions. The commission also noted that 26 institutions have expired institutional accreditation and advised the public to verify accreditation status before seeking admission.
