Germany launched JUPITER, Europe's first exascale supercomputer, capable of over a quintillion operations per second. The JUPITER supercomputer, located at the Jülich Research Centre, utilizes renewable energy and advanced cooling systems. It is the fourth fastest supercomputer globally and leads in energy efficiency. This €500 million joint EU-Germany project will enhance climate modeling for extreme weather prediction and support Europe's AI initiatives, including training large language models.
