Germany faces daily hybrid warfare attacks from abroad, Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt said Sunday, after an explosive-laden drone was discovered at Leipzig/Halle Airport. In an interview with Bild am Sonntag, Dobrindt cited espionage, sabotage, cyberattacks, and covert operations as constant threats aimed at destabilizing Germany. Lawmakers pointed to Russia over the drone, but Moscow's embassy called it a "fabricated provocation." The drone was found on Tuesday. Two other drones were sighted Thursday over a military base in Mechernich. Dobrindt urged expanding German drone research to counter the threats.
