Germany announces drone-security research center after Leipzig incident

zeit.de (German)

Germany's interior minister announced a new drone-security research center after an explosive-laden drone was found near Ukrainian cargo planes at Leipzig/Halle airport. Alexander Dobrindt said the center, opening August 18 at DLR's test airport in Cochstedt, is needed to counter hybrid warfare and keep pace in drone technology. US media linked the Leipzig drone to Russian intelligence; Moscow denied involvement. Dobrindt called such incidents hybrid attacks but did not blame Russia.
