Gentleman's Relish production ends due to falling sales, but London restaurant Simpson's revives the anchovy spread

Gentleman's Relish, a pungent anchovy spread created in 1828, has ceased production due to falling sales. A London restaurant, Simpson's in the Strand, is now making its own version of the condiment, which was a favorite of Ian Fleming. Other retailers like Fortnum & Mason will continue to sell their own versions of the relish.
