Generic melamine sponges perform as well as or better than Mr. Clean Magic Erasers on common household stains. Tests showed generic sponges, like Dr. WOW, are cheaper and often more durable, holding their shape better during cleaning tasks. While neither brand is a universal stain solution, generic options offer comparable effectiveness at a lower cost.
