Gen Z prioritizes work-life balance over salary in new survey
A new survey shows that Gen Z workers prioritize work-life balance over salary. This marks a significant shift in attitudes, especially after the pandemic, with 76 percent of Gen Z valuing balance more than pay. Randstad's annual survey found that 85 percent of all workers ranked work-life balance as their top priority, surpassing pay for the first time in 22 years. Job security and mental health support also ranked highly among younger workers. While globally 79 percent reported good work-life balance, Latin American workers were the only group to prioritize pay over balance. The survey highlights changing expectations in the workforce, particularly among younger generations.
