GCDA funds open spaces in nine Cochin municipalities
The Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA) will fund the development of open spaces in nine municipalities, allocating ₹9 crore for the project. Each municipality, including Aluva and Angamaly, will receive ₹1 crore to create public spaces like parks, aiming to provide recreational areas for residents and host public gatherings. The project's first phase focuses on these selected municipalities. This initiative seeks to replicate the success of existing parks, addressing the growing population and municipal development in the region by providing accessible public spaces.
