GCC raises coffee procurement prices to support tribal farmers in Paderu Agency
The Girijan Cooperative Corporation (GCC) has raised coffee procurement prices for the 2024-25 season to support tribal farmers in the Paderu Agency. The new prices are ₹320 per kg for Arabica Parchment, ₹170 for Arabica Cherry, and ₹100 for Robusta Cherry. Previously, the prices were set at ₹285 for Arabica Parchment, ₹150 for Arabica Cherry, and ₹80 for Robusta Cherry. The increase reflects rising coffee prices in the market and aims to protect the interests of tribal growers. GCC will ensure that farmers are informed of the new prices and has implemented measures for direct cash payments to farmers' bank accounts within 24 hours. A dedicated desk has been established for complaints related to coffee procurement.
