Gare du Midi station receives twenty additional police officers to improve security

Twenty additional police officers will be deployed to Gare du Midi station to enhance security. This measure aims to improve safety and coordination with Securail. Over 3,000 fines were issued in the past year at the station's new police post. Violence and insults against travelers accounted for about 2% of these citations. The reinforcement follows an announcement by the minister to increase patrols across Brussels' stations and metro. Enhanced coordination between local police, railway police, and Securail is also planned.
