Galaxy S26 Ultra handles coding with Termux and DeX, but Docker and long builds struggle
Oluwaniyi Raji, of Android Police, used Termux and Samsung DeX on the Galaxy S26 Ultra to perform programming tasks like Git, SSH, and scripting, but long builds slowed down and Docker failed to run directly. Raji's workflow combined Termux with DeX on an external monitor, using a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. He successfully cloned repositories, connected to remote servers, ran Python and Node.js scripts, and used code-server in Chrome, though many server extensions were incompatible with Android. Samsung notes DeX for PC is incompatible with Galaxy devices running One UI 7 or later, including the S26 series. Termux uses Android's bionic library, not glibc, requiring adaptations for some Linux programs, and Raji dismissed QEMU virtualization as too costly for his tasks.
