Frostburg plans national search for new city administrator after resignation

Frostburg plans to fill its city administrator position after Elizabeth Stahlman resigns, effective January 31. She will become the executive director of the Tri-County Council for Western Maryland. Stahlman has served as administrator since April 2019. Hayden Lindsey, the Director of Public Works, will take over as acting city administrator on February 1. Project Manager Lydia Claar will serve as acting deputy city administrator while both retain their current roles. The city will conduct a national recruitment for a permanent replacement, which is expected to take several months. Stahlman highlighted her work on the $2.8 million Frostburg Municipal Center as a key achievement during her tenure.
