Frontier Airlines to introduce wider first-class seats by late 2025

Frontier Airlines will introduce wider first-class seats in late 2025, replacing three-seat rows with two. The new seats will feature extra cushioning and a wider middle armrest, available across its entire fleet by the end of 2025. This move aligns with a trend among budget airlines offering premium seating options. Other airlines, like Spirit and Southwest, have also introduced wider seats and changes to seating arrangements to enhance customer experience. Airlines have increasingly relied on ancillary fees, generating $12.4 billion from 2018 to 2023. While some customers may feel misled by extra charges, the introduction of first-class seating may be more accepted as an expected premium upgrade.
