Frontier Airlines raises Q4 2024 guidance following strong performance

Frontier Airlines has upgraded its Q4 2024 guidance, expecting better results than previously anticipated. The airline now projects a pre-tax margin of around 4%, up from a previous range of 0% to 2%. Revenue per available seat mile is also expected to grow by 14%. The airline's improved performance is attributed to its revenue and cost initiatives, including the "New Frontier" program. Frontier's capacity is expected to decrease by 2.1% year-on-year, with adjusted operating expenses projected between $725 million and $735 million. Other U.S. airlines, including American Airlines, JetBlue, and Southwest Airlines, have also reported better-than-expected guidance for Q4 2024. However, United Airlines and Delta Air Lines have not issued updates.
