The passenger explained that they were unaware of the mix-up until they landed in California. The flight attendant realized the mistake before they did. The friends had booked their trip just three weeks in advance and did not double-check their tickets. After landing in California, one friend asked a flight attendant for directions to a town near Costa Rica, which sparked confusion. The realization came too late, but they managed to rebook a flight to Costa Rica. Their new travel plans included a layover in Houston, Texas, and the extra costs added up to about $1,000 each. Despite the stress, the friends arrived in Costa Rica three days later than planned. Their hostel welcomed them with shots to celebrate their arrival. In a follow-up video, the poster shared that the trip ended up being "the best vacation of my life," and she even extended her stay.
