French design studio Blam crafts reversible table for Bayeux Tapestry's new museum

The French design studio Blam, known for the Olympic horse Zeus, has designed a 72-meter reversible table to display the Bayeux Tapestry in its new museum, set to open in October. The table, crafted with aluminum, bronze, and stainless steel, will allow restorers to study both sides of the nearly 70-meter embroidery. Blam won the contract after a year of work, following its success at the Paris 2024 Olympics. The tapestry is currently on display at the British Museum until its return to Bayeux in July. Construction of the table begins this autumn, with about twenty specialists involved in the project.
