Franklin Regional athletes sharpen skills before track championships

Franklin Regional athletes are preparing for the WPIAL Class 3A track and field championships, with some competing at the Pine-Richland Invitational to hone their skills. Sean Cartwright placed fifth in the 110-meter hurdles, and Caroline Shirley finished fourth in the 1,600-meter run. The girls' 3,200 relay team took sixth. The baseball team is fourth in the standings, while the softball team is aiming for second place. Softball player Toryn Fulton is in contention for the WPIAL triple crown. The girls' lacrosse team secured a playoff spot, and two seniors committed to college athletics.
