France will permanently allow supermarket use of meal vouchers

The French government will permanently allow the use of meal vouchers for non-immediately consumable supermarket purchases starting January 1, 2027. This decision, announced by the Minister of Commerce, Véronique Louwagie, also includes a complete transition to digital meal vouchers by the same date. The move follows a previous two-year extension of the program and aims to streamline the system.
