Marielle Abaunza has been appointed vice president of business development for the Fox Studio Lot’s Sound Department. This move coincides with the launch of a new sound editorial division aimed at expanding services for sound clients. The Sound Department plans to hire supervising sound editors to provide comprehensive sound packages. This initiative is part of Fox's strategy to enhance its offerings, separate from Disney's 2019 acquisition of 21st Century Fox. Abaunza previously worked at Formosa Group, where she helped expand its international presence. She will focus on building relationships with sound artists and clients while overseeing the development of facilities like The Newman Scoring Stage.
