Four cases of Trichophyton mentagrophytes genotype VII infections were reported among men who have sex with men in New York City from April to July 2024. All patients were treated for tinea before laboratory confirmation. The patients, aged 30–39, had varying health backgrounds. Two had HIV, one was a sex worker, and one had no underlying conditions. Treatment included antifungal medications, with most showing improvement. Samples confirmed susceptibility to terbinafine and itraconazole. Patient demographics and potential exposures were documented, but no known links to previous TMVII infections were found for most patients.
