Fortnite players criticize Epic Games for high prices on new Kicks cosmetics
Fortnite players are criticizing Epic Games for high prices on new Kicks cosmetic items introduced in the latest patch. The footwear, modeled after real Nike and Jordan shoes, costs 800 V-Bucks or more, which many fans find excessive. Previously, players had mixed reactions to new items, such as Instruments and vehicles, but those were eventually accepted. The Kicks cosmetics, however, have sparked immediate backlash, with players calling them a "total ripoff" and questioning their value. While some players can still earn the OG Air Jordan 1s for free through the Battle Pass, the new Kicks pricing has disappointed many. Epic is also offering a free emote to celebrate the release of the Kicks.
