Fortnite players are receiving payments from a $245 million settlement with Epic Games, averaging $114 each. The Federal Trade Commission began sending payments on December 9, 2024, to those who filed valid claims by October 8, 2024. Players can still file claims until January 10, 2025, if they were charged for unwanted in-game purchases between January 2017 and September 2022. Claims can be submitted through the FTC's Epic Games page, using a claim number or Epic account ID. Payments are being made via check or PayPal, with eligible claims submitted after October 8 still under review. Filing a claim will not affect a player's Fortnite account status.
