Former prison officer jailed for sexual relationship with inmate and misconduct

Former prison officer Alicia Novas was jailed for three years for having a sexual relationship with an inmate and misconduct in public office. Novas, 20, engaged in sexual intercourse with inmate Declan Winkless, shared videos, and provided him with illicit items and information about a prison informant. The judge highlighted the serious risk to the informant and the undermining of prison security. Winkless also received a consecutive sentence.
