Former Phillies pitcher Ray Semproch dies at 93

Ray Semproch, a former pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies, has died at the age of 93. No cause of death has been reported. Semproch was notable for being part of two expansion teams in 1961. He was drafted by the Washington Senators and later claimed by the Los Angeles Angels. He began his Major League career with the Phillies in 1958 and played until 1961. Semproch finished with a record of 19-21 and a 4.42 earned run average.
