Former Detroit officer pleads guilty to lying to FBI in bribery case

Former Detroit police officer Dametri Wade, 26, pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI during a bribery investigation. He faces up to five years in prison. Wade admitted to making a false statement to federal agents. His sentencing is scheduled for February 5, 2025. The investigation began in August 2022 when Wade was accused of using his police car to help thieves appear legitimate during a larceny in Detroit.
