Forest department proposes new biological park location in Chittorgarh foothills

A new biological park is proposed for Chittorgarh, with the forest department submitting a 35-hectare proposal to the state government. The proposed site is in the foothills of the Chittorgarh fort, near Smriti Van, offering a natural environment for wildlife. This comes after the Archaeological Survey of India denied permission for development at the historic Mrigavan. The Mrigavan, closed since 2016 due to registration issues, was a former relocation center. Efforts to revive it as a biological park have been unsuccessful due to ASI restrictions.
