Forest department introduces ₹20 entry fee for Old Courtallam Falls

Old Courtallam Falls will now charge a ₹20 entry fee per person, a new rule by the Forest Department. This change follows six months of renovation work and marks the first time a fee has been imposed on the falls, which were opened for public use during the Kamaraj regime. The department also introduced eco-friendly vehicle services for ₹10 and restricted visiting hours to 7 AM to 5 PM, citing environmental protection and crowd management.
