Foo Fighters to play largest concert in Tasmania's history

Foo Fighters will perform the largest concert in Tasmania's history on January 24 in Launceston. This will be their only show in Australia. The Tasmanian government and Launceston council are funding the event with AUD $650,000 to boost tourism and place the state on the major concert circuit. This concert marks the band's return to Tasmania after ten years, following a notable event in 2006 where miners requested Foo Fighters music during a rescue.
