Foligno exhibition marks 100 years of theatre history with 100 documents
An exhibition titled "Di nuovo a teatro" opened at the former Piermarini theatre in Foligno, showcasing 100 documents that trace over 100 years of performances at the Apollo Piermarini theatre from 1827 to 1944. The documents, including posters, playbills, photographs, and autographed dedications, come from two key collections at Foligno's municipal library: the Antonio Mancinelli Fund (1827–1913) and the Bruno Loreti Fund (1894–1932). The exhibition displays full-size reproductions of about 100 items from over 1,700 digitized documents. Curated by Marianna Lucarini, the show focuses on advertising material and was made possible through PNRR funding for digitization and preservation. It is open weekdays from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, and weekends from 10 AM to 1 PM and 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
