Florida authorities rescued four children from a flea-ridden, urine-soaked “house of horrors” in Florahome, and arrested four adults on neglect charges. The investigation began after a caseworker reported a baby with severe diaper rash, weight loss, and weak vital signs who could have died. Sheriff Homer DeLoach described animal feces, urine, black mold, and flies throughout the home. Four adults face child neglect charges; the children entered DCF care. The baby is now thriving, and four dogs and three kittens were given to animal services.
