Florence Festa dell'Unità: Four Days of Debate Against Inequality

The Democratic Party's first national Festa dell'Unità dedicated to combating inequality, titled "Make Way. For People, Rights, and the Future," opens today at the SMS Rifredi venue in Florence, running through Sunday, September 6. The four-day event features debates, assemblies, dinners, and music addressing work, health, housing, education, and rights, with prominent figures like Stefano Bonaccini, Pier Luigi Bersani, and Dario Nardella scheduled to speak. Organizers aim to build an alternative to Giorgia Meloni by uniting forces seeking change and proposing a different vision of society. Florence PD secretary Federico Gianassi called the event a key opportunity to strengthen the party's local presence and identity ahead of the next political elections, emphasizing the need to engage directly with citizens on issues affecting daily life.
