Fishing boat hit breakwater; 11 injured

A fishing vessel collided with a breakwater in Hamada Port, Shimane Prefecture, resulting in all 11 crew members being transported to the hospital. The accident occurred late on August 19th. Two crew members, aged in their 30s, are suspected of having fractured their necks and are currently hospitalized. The Hamada Coast Guard is investigating the cause, considering potential professional negligence. The vessel sustained damage and flooding but managed to return to port under its own power.
