Fire near Colorado Springs prompts evacuations and warnings

Residents are urged to leave immediately due to the fire's proximity to Schriever Space Force Base. The Colorado Springs Fire Department is coordinating efforts with multiple fire departments to contain the blaze. A Red Flag Warning was issued earlier in the day, indicating conditions that could lead to rapid fire spread. Currently, there is no estimate on the fire's size, but thick smoke is visible in the area. A pre-evacuation warning is also in effect for parts of Highway 94 and surrounding roads.
