Fire damages multiple buildings in Namakkal, over 1 crore lost

A significant fire occurred at a supermarket in Kumarapalayam, Namakkal, early Thursday morning. The blaze spread to an adjacent automobile shop and a financial firm, causing damage estimated at over 1 crore. The fire started around 3:30 am, after the supermarket was locked the previous night. Firefighters extinguished the flames after three hours. Initial reports suggest an electrical issue may have caused the fire. Goods worth approximately 40 lakh from the supermarket and 70 lakh from the automobile shop were destroyed. The financial firm also suffered partial damage. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
