During the major fire in Krokstadelva, fire crews struggled with narrow streets and parked cars — a risk flagged as a primary concern in 2023 but left unaddressed. A February 2023 meeting document shows Drammen municipality called poor fire-truck access a 'primary concern' for the Stenseth neighborhood. No physical measures followed, according to the municipality, despite residents having long feared a fire disaster. The streets, built in the 1970s–80s, are only 2.9–4 meters wide. Sign changes finally began in winter 2026, three years after the meeting. In three years, only two parking fines were issued.
