Fire at Chai Chee data centre hospitalized one person
A fire broke out at a data centre in Chai Chee early on March 14, resulting in one person being hospitalized for smoke inhalation. The Singapore Civil Defence Force responded to the incident around 6 a.m. The fire involved a server rack and was extinguished using a dry powder fire extinguisher. The building, managed by 1-Net, is still operational, but recovery efforts are ongoing. An email from the Singapore Internet Exchange indicated that an explosion may have caused the fire. The cause is currently under investigation.
