Financial changes in November include social welfare bonuses and energy credits in Ireland
In November, several financial changes will impact households in Ireland. Social welfare recipients will receive seven lump sum payments, part of a €1.2 billion package announced in Budget 2025. Weekly payments will increase, with the first October Bonus already issued. Electric Ireland will reduce electricity and gas prices by 3% and 5%, respectively, starting November 1. This will save households an average of €45 on electricity and €40 on gas annually, despite recent increases in network fees. Additionally, every household will receive a €125 energy credit this month, with a second payment of €125 expected in the New Year. The Vacant Homes Tax will also rise from five to seven times the property's local tax rate, effective November 1.
