Filipino volleyball team unveils 33-player wishlist

The Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) has announced a 33-player wishlist for the Alas Pilipinas team ahead of the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand this December. The list includes invitees from the Premier Volleyball League (PVL), UAAP, and international players. Among the notable names are Brooke Van Sickle, Shaina Nitura, and Tots Carlos. Current team members who won bronze medals last year are also included. The roster aims to strengthen the national team for upcoming competitions, including the 6th AVC Challenge Cup and the SEA V.League. PNVF President Tats Suzara emphasized the quality of players selected, expressing his desire to see them represent the country. Brazilian coach Jorge Edson Sauza de Brito will oversee the tryouts, aiming to develop players from both collegiate and professional ranks. The team is determined to break a 20-year medal drought in the upcoming SEA Games.
