Fidan: Greece Plays Turkey Card to Distract Public

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan accused Greece of using Turkey as a domestic political tool, stating the "Turkey factor" exists in Greek internal politics to draw public attention. He made the remarks in an interview with NTV. Fidan claimed Athens plays the "Turkey card" when seeking to distract the public, noting that "harsh" language on Greek-Turkish issues is expected to intensify due to Greece's pre-election climate. He added that Turkey has reached a "common understanding" with the current Greek government. Fidan expressed hope that no "crazy move" will occur, warning that Turkey's "seriousness and strength" are known to all if there is any intention for "adventures." He said President Erdogan wants to resolve issues by talking with each new government.
