Feng shui and art guide a 1,400 sq ft Hong Kong apartment’s redesign

An interior designer resolved a feng shui conflict in a Hong Kong apartment by creating a new visual entrance, sidestepping building restrictions that prevented moving the front door. The redesign took a year to complete. Designer Quinn Wong added a partition wall and an indigo-blue frame with a raised step to serve as the main entrance. The color was chosen to add the water element the feng shui master said the apartment lacked, and it matched the owner's taste. The 1,400 sq ft flat in Ho Man Tin belongs to Suki Tai, a textile business director. Wong, who founded Studio Quinn in 2024, balanced feng shui principles with building regulations and design aesthetics during the project.
