FC Augsburg integrates academy talent with professional team

FC Augsburg has launched a "Future Team" of 10-12 young players training alongside the professionals. This initiative aims to integrate academy talent more closely with the first team. The program, led by interim head coach Manuel Baum, focuses on developing player autonomy and bridging the gap between youth and professional levels. It emphasizes self-management and skill development in four key areas. This project, planned under previous coach Sandro Wagner, is now being implemented. Baum believes fostering self-responsibility will lead to better decision-making on the field.
