FC Augsburg extended Nathanaël Mbuku's contract until 2028 and loaned him to Belgian club VV St. Truiden for the current season. The offensive player, who participated in the World Cup with DR Congo this summer, was loaned to gain more playing time. He was in Augsburg's squad for the DFB-Pokal and Bundesliga opener but did not play. Last season, Mbuku recorded four goals and six assists in 30 Ligue 2 appearances on loan at Montpellier. He could feature in the Conference League with his new club.
