Father rescues daughter from alleged kidnapper after month-long search in Long Island

A Long Island father, Frank Gervasi, rescued his 14-year-old daughter, Emmarae, after she was missing for nearly a month. She disappeared on December 9, and police initially did not take the case seriously. On January 3, Gervasi received a tip that Emmarae was on a boat in Whitecap Marina. He acted quickly, finding her safe but traumatized, and police arrested 64-year-old Francis Buckheit, who is charged with kidnapping. Buckheit has pleaded not guilty, and the case is ongoing. Gervasi expressed relief that his daughter is safe and recovering.
