Father rescues daughter from alleged kidnapper after month-long search in Long Island

A Long Island father, Frank Gervasi, rescued his 14-year-old daughter Emmarae after she went missing for nearly a month. She was found on a boat in Whitecap Marina, where she had been allegedly kidnapped by 64-year-old Francis Buckheit. Emmarae disappeared on December 9, and police initially did not take the case seriously. After receiving an anonymous tip on January 3, Gervasi acted quickly, finding his daughter before police arrived. Buckheit has been arrested and charged with kidnapping. Gervasi expressed relief at finding Emmarae safe, stating she is recovering. The investigation continues, with authorities indicating that more individuals may be involved. Buckheit has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
